Panasonic group is a global electronic manufacturer, engaged in various electrical products production, sales and other business activities. In 1978, Chinese leaders visited Panasonic group's Japanese TV factory. During the talks, entrepreneurs expressed their determination to contribute to China. Subsequently, Panasonic group entered the initial stage of China's business. In recent years, the group has been committed to product export and technical cooperation with Chinese factories, and established the first joint venture factory in 1987. Up to now, Panasonic group's business activities in China involve research and development, manufacturing, sales, service, logistics, publicity and other aspects.


Panasonic electric (China) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1994, and realized sole investment in 2002. It is mainly responsible for sales and after-sales service activities of household appliances, systems, environment, components and other commodities. As an investment company in China, Panasonic electric (China) Co., Ltd. is also responsible for personnel training, finance, legal affairs, environmental protection, intellectual property, quality management and other integrated and supporting activities. In January 2012, Panasonic electric (China) Co., Ltd. absorbed and merged Panasonic electric (China) Co., Ltd. and further expanded its business scope.


In April 2019, Panasonic group first established a regional business company, Northeast Asia company of China, which integrates business and regional functions. Headquartered in Beijing, this is the first time Panasonic group has set up a business company outside Japan. Based on the local demand of China, Northeast Asia company of China will make contribution to the "living space" field integrating the traditional advantages of home appliances and residential equipment, as well as the "fresh food supply chain" field with the core of cold chain
